THE POWER OF A RED LIPSTICK

I remember how much I used to love (still do) nude lippies. I loved it so much that it started to reflect on looks I created for my clients. My friends and some other concerned people had to talk to me to make a conscious effort to diversify. Not that I couldn’t bear to use other lip colors, but I was just always more inclined to use a nude lipstick for any look. I started to explore with other colors for my clients, but it took more time to do the same on myself.

Now brethren, what point am I trying to bring out with this sermon?
By the time I realized how good red looked on my lips, oh my gawwwwd!, there was no going back. From lining with a dark shade of red, to lining with a dark shade of purple or even to creating red ombre lips orange or nude in the centre, every look turned out really nice, no boasting here, lol.

Thinking back, I remember how two of my bestfriends would always say “oh, red lippy is a lifesaver” or “I only lined my eyes, but by the time I applied this red lipstick, my face was popping!”, and I’m like “bleh”. If both of you are reading this, just know that your constant hammering of how ‘popping’ the red lippy is paid off. I mean, what’s not to love, right?

So ladies, WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THE RED LIPSTICK? DOES IT REALLY MAKE YOUR FACE ‘POP’?
